Tax season 2025 in Bizkaia is here: 5 tips and how your EAP can help
The 2025 tax filing season in Bizkaia starts on April 15. Here are 5 key tips to prepare your return and how beLASAI's Employee Assistance Programme can support you.

🗓️ Tax season is here
From April 15 to June 30, taxpayers in Bizkaia can file their income tax return for the 2025 fiscal year. Whether online, by phone or in person, it’s a process that every year brings doubts, stress and, in many cases, the feeling of leaving money on the table.
At beLASAI we work with employees every day and we know that tax season is one of those moments that causes the most anxiety. That’s why we’ve put together 5 practical tips and an important reminder: if your company has our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), you have specialised help at your disposal.
✅ 5 tips to tackle your tax return stress-free
1. 🔍 Review your draft before confirming it
The Bizkaia Tax Authority will send you a notification during April with your provisional draft. Don’t confirm it without reviewing it first. Check that all your income, deductions and personal details are up to date. A mistake here can cost you money.
2. 💰 Know the deductions you’re entitled to
Bizkaia offers deductions that many people don’t know about:
- 🏠 Primary residence
- 🏦 Pension plan contributions (EPSV)
- 🎁 Charitable donations
- 👨👩👧👦 Large family
- ♿ Disability
- 👫 Joint filing
Make sure you don’t miss any.
3. ⚖️ Choose the right filing option
Individual or joint? The best option depends on your family and income situation. The tax draft will tell you which suits you best, but if in doubt, consult a professional before deciding.
4. ⏰ Don’t wait until the last day
The deadline is June 30, but refunds are processed in just 7 days from filing. The sooner you file, the sooner you receive your refund. If you need an in-person appointment at one of the 12 tax offices, you can book from April 13.
5. 🤝 Ask for help if you need it
If your tax return causes anxiety or you have doubts you can’t resolve, don’t face it alone. The Bizkaia Tax Authority has a helpline at 94 608 3000 (8:30 to 19:00, working days) and the website bizkaia.eus/errenta.
